Take care of today — and tomorrow will take care of itself. Search the web for advice on planning for the future and you’ll find variations on this idea. But how sound is this advice?
In today’s episode of Your Money Minute with Tracy Stewart, CPA, I want to explore whether or not your future and retirement can really take care of themselves. I’ve worked with many people who have worked hard and smart to live the kind of life they want today. These people live extraordinary lives and enjoy all of the blessings life has to offer.
But the problem with focusing on today alone is that your viewpoint is always focused on what’s at the end of your nose. I believe you can, and should, work to prepare for both your today and tomorrow in tandem.
Retirement savings don’t take care of themselves. In fact, today’s professionals will likely need to live 30+ years on their retirement savings. Are you prepared for this kind of financial need?
My advice is this: Enjoy today, educate yourself on your financial future and start planning.
Financial independence is unbelievably liberating. To get more advice to help you make the most of your money and life, subscribe to my YouTube channel to catch the latest episodes of Your Money Minute each and every weekday.
