What comes to mind when you think of retirement? The media may be selling a big fat lie on living the retired life – and it’s time you come up with your own ideas.
In today’s episode of Your Money Minute with Tracy Stewart, CPA, I want to help you develop a realistic plan for your retirement goals. Retirement is all about what YOU want… not what the media is trying to sell you. Sure, they’d have you believe that retirement is nothing more than sailboats and sunsets. But the reality is: What does that cost?
To come up with your realistic picture of retirement, think about what’s important to you. What are your goals? Where do you want to be? What do you want to be doing? Give some thought to how much that may cost — and what you already have in retirement savings to fund this. Be honest with yourself — because people are living for a lot longer these days, and you want to come up with a plan and purpose for these years that meets your needs and desires.
This week, we’ll be talking about minimalism and how you can use this barebones movement to stow away money for your future. But you can’t stow away money unless you know what you’re stowing it away for, right?
Financial independence is unbelievably liberating. Build a future that’s full and foolproof when you plan well for the many tomorrows ahead. I can help you do that!
