Nobody wants to let a cavity become a nasty root canal. So why do we so often put off those important tasks that fester and then explode in our face – and how do we avoid this in the new year?
In today’s episode of Your Money Minute with Tracy Stewart, CPA, I want to talk about identifying and addressing the “it”s in your life.
For me, gardening has always been an “it”. You know what an “it” is: It’s that thing you put off because it’s more convenient to talk about it later. But does later ever come? Does “it” ever get done?
Maybe “it” to you *IS* a trip to your dentist to fill a cavity. Or maybe it’s something different altogether – like developing an estate plan or a budget.
My task for you is to identify an “it” in your life – and tackle it within the next 30 days. It’s going to require you to be honest with yourself (and stop the procrastination), but I promise you that you’ll be happier and healthier once you address whatever “it” is.
Financial independence is unbelievably liberating. Building long-term stability takes purposeful attention – and requires you to take action on all of the “it”s looming in your life.
