A new year gives you time and space to reflect on what you want to do differently moving forward. But sometimes, worry, doubts and anxieties can creep up when you do…
In today’s episode of Your Money Minute with Tracy Stewart, CPA, I want to talk about quick and easy ways you can manage worries and anxiety in the new year.
It’s easy to get in a cycle of worry and doubt. Life can feel overwhelming. Change can be difficult. It sometimes feels like your to-do list is a mile long…
One trick I recommend is to sit down and write down each of your worries on a sheet of paper. Get them ALL down. Beside each of the items on your list, write down one action or task you can do to address it.
Don’t have an estate plan? Schedule some time to talk with an elder law attorney. Worried about your health? Take 30 minutes to walk around your neighborhood. For each item, think of a practical way to make progress.
Another suggestion is to increase your exercise and physical activity. Meditation has also been proven to improve mental health and clarity.
It’s sometimes easier said than done, but in this new year — work to whittle away at your worries. You’ll feel better, you’ll make sound decisions and you’ll be able to fully enjoy the life around you.
Financial independence is unbelievably liberating. When you work at keeping your worries and anxieties in check, you are able to better manage and protect your financial future.
